L'estensione ContentTranslation è uno strumento che permette tradurre un articolo da una lingua ad un'altra con l'aiuto di un sistema di traduzione automatica e altre funzionalità. Consultare Traduzione contenuti per informazioni sul contesto e altro. L'estensione è stata sviluppata dal gruppo ingegneristico per il linguaggio di Wikimedia.

Installazione

This extension requires a Content Translation server to be setup first. Morover it has three extension dependencies.

• Download and move the extracted ContentTranslation folder to your extensions/ directory.
  Developers and code contributors should install the extension from Git instead, using:cd extensions/
git clone https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/mediawiki/extensions/ContentTranslation
• Solo durante l'installazione da git eseguire Composer per installare le dipendenze PHP, immettendo composer install --no-dev nella directory dell'estensione. (Vedere task T173141 per potenziali complicazioni.)
• Aggiungi il seguente codice al tuo $LocalSettings (preferibilmente alla fine):

  wfLoadExtension( 'ContentTranslation' );
  

• Esegui lo script di aggiornamento, che creerà automaticamente nel database le tavole necessarie a questa estensione.
•  Done – Naviga in Special:Version nella tua wiki per verificare che l'estensione sia stata installata correttamente.

Vagrant installation:

• Se stai usando Vagrant , installa con vagrant roles enable contenttranslation --provision

Content Translation server

Questa estensione richiede che il server di traduzione del contenuto (anche chiamato cxserver) si attivo e funzionante. Consulata Content_translation/Setup per informazioni su come configurare il server di traduzione del contenuto. Quando si esegue la traduzione di contenuti localmente, è possibile aggiungere a LocalSettings.php quanto segue per utilizzare il production cxserver:

Database di traduzioni

Questa estensione ha una funzione di dashboard opzionale, che consente ai traduttori di vedere tutte le traduzioni in tutte le lingue. In un'installazione multilingue di questa estensione, ad esempio nelle wiki Wikimedia, è richiesto un database centrale per servire la funzione della dashboard. Le definizioni della tabella per tale database sono nella directory sql nel codice sorgente dell'estensione; Content translation/Product Definition/Database ha più dettagli. Una volta creato il database, impostare la variabile di configurazione globale $wgContentTranslationDatabase come nome del database:

$wgContentTranslationDatabase = 'db_name';

Dipendenze dell'estensione

ContentTranslation dipende delle seguenti estensioni:

EventLogging	Optional	Se installato, può essere utilizzato per registrare la pubblicazione, glie errori e altri eventi.
BetaFeatures	Optional	Se installato, ContentTranslation verrà visualizzato come una funzione beta nelle preferenze.

ContentTranslationDomainCodeMapping

Used to map between non-standard language codes and actual domains. The default is the same as in Wikipedia codes and domains.

ContentTranslationRESTBase

Configuration of RESTBase URL and connection parameters. The defaults are for Wikipedia.

ContentTranslationDatabase

The name of the database in which the common tables for managing translations across wikis are stored. The default is null, which means that the default database is used.

ContentTranslationCluster

In a Wikipedia-like database configuration, the name of the cluster on which the database is hosted. The default is null, which means that the default cluster is used.

ContentTranslationEventLogging

Whether EventLogging is enabled. The default is false.

ContentTranslationHighMTCategory

A category to which pages that have a high level of machine translation are added upon publishing. The default is null.

ContentTranslationSiteTemplates

Templates for essential URLs. The defaults assume Wikipedia, so this variable must be configured differently for other sites. Where relevant, $1 is replaced by the language code, and $2 is replaced by the page title.

ContentTranslationTranslateInTarget

Whether to open Special:ContentTranslation in the target wiki when clicking the button in the entry point. The domain will be based on $wgContentTranslationSiteTemplates. The default is to open Special:ContentTranslation on the same wiki. (For Wikipedia this is set to true.)

ContentTranslationAsBetaFeature

Whether ContentTranslation is a beta feature.

ContentTranslationTargetNamespace

The default target namespace for published articles. The default is Main.

ContentTranslationCampaigns

Campaigns that are available in the URL as valid values for the campaign parameter in the URL. This allows automatic enabling of the beta feature and event logging.

ContentTranslationCXServerAuth

CXServer connection configuration.

ContentTranslationEnableSuggestions

Whether to use the suggestions tab and automatic suggestions. This needs the GapFinder API. This is false by default, but true in Wikipedia.

RecommendToolAPIURL

The URL for the GapFinder API, needed if ContentTranslationEnableSuggestions is true.

Parametri URL

La traduzione dei contenuti si svolge principalmente sulla pagina speciale Special:ContentTranslation. I parametri dell' URL sono

• pagina: titolo sorgente * titolo obiettivo: titolo obiettivo * da: lingua sorgente * a: lingua obiettivo * campagna: nome della campagna ** nelle wiki Wikimedia, se la traduzione dei contenuti non è abilitata nelle impostazioni dell'utente, funzioneranno solo i collegamenti alla campagna predefinita. Le campagne sono definite in InitialiseSettments.php wmgContentTranslationCampaigns variabile.
