Change a sender for a Sponsored Messaging ad campaign

As an advertiser, you can change the sender for a Sponsored Messaging ad campaign, but only one sender can be selected for each ad variation in a campaign. If you want to test multiple senders, you’ll need to create multiple ad variations and assign a different sender to each one.

To change the sender:

  1. Sign in to Campaign Manager.

  2. If you need to switch accounts, click the account name in the upper-left corner of the page and select the correct account name from the dropdown.

  3. In the Campaign groups tab, select the required campaign group checkbox.

  4. In the Campaigns tab, select the required campaign checkbox.

  5. In the Ads tab, select the required ad checkbox.

    • If the campaign has no associated ads, click the Create button and select Ad from the dropdown.
  6. Click the  More icon to the right of the ad name and select Edit from the dropdown.

  7. In the Edit page, click the Circle option to the left of the new sender's name.

    • The previously selected sender’s name is automatically deselected.
  8. Click Next step at the bottom of the window to complete the steps to update the ad and review and launch your updated campaign.

Notes:

  • The sender can’t be changed on a Sponsored Messaging ad that has been canceled.
  • All pending and approved senders have viewer access to the ad account.
  • Removing a sender as a user on the ad account will cancel all ads with that sender. Canceled ads are no longer delivered to your target audience and can’t be viewed or duplicated.
  • If you sent a sender permission request, click Copy request link on the right side of the invited member’s name in your campaign’s sender list. You can then send the link directly to the invited member using your preferred communication tool, for example, LinkedIn Messaging, chat, or email.
