When it comes to eating disorders, it can be easy to focus solely on the physical symptoms—but these illnesses run much deeper. On this #WorldMentalHealthDay, it's vital to recognize that eating disorders affect more than just the body—they disrupt emotional and psychological health, altering brain function and behavior. Reducing these illnesses to just physical symptoms can delay diagnosis and prevent people from receiving the specialized care they need. Stigma can also create barriers to seeking help, especially when symptoms aren’t always visible. Regardless of how someone may appear, their struggles with food and body are valid and deserve compassionate, evidence-based care. If you or someone you know is affected, take the first step toward healing. Contact us today by calling 1-888-364-5977 or completing our online form: https://ow.ly/6wGF50TIlpL Recovery is possible with the right support. 🧡

Will we see you at FNCE 2024 in Minneapolis this weekend? We hope so! The Emily Program will be at booth #1729 and will present “Comprehensive Care for Binge Eating Disorder: Best Practices and New Approaches” at 10 AM on October 6. Patients with Binge Eating Disorder (BED) need specialized therapeutic, dietary, or medical support for their specific diagnosis. Our presenters will examine current best practices in the diagnosis and treatment of BED, including the importance of decreasing bias, increasing compassion, and addressing internalized weight stigma (regardless of body size). Following the presentation, our speakers will be available to meet and chat more at our booth. We look forward to seeing you there! https://ow.ly/9Ejm50TBLaB
