We're beyond proud of our #client the ness for the major moves they're making in the wellness space and all the work they've put in to open their beautiful new Tribeca flagship studio. NYC fitness scene, get ready!
As we move out of our first studio at 406 Broadway, we reflect not only on the ness’s journey but on the power of small businesses and the magic of “third places”—the spaces where we gather, connect, and grow. When Aly Giampolo and I filed our LLC in 2018, it wasn’t in an office, but in a cozy Chinatown café called The Good Sort (hi, Andrew Lam Govada.) In that brief moment, our dreams rested on a rainbow latte and a tiny table. Later, fate brought us to another small business, Vera Yoga (hi, Wade Helliwell Britton Schey ) who agreed to rent us an 800-square-foot, third-floor walk-up for six months, and that was all we needed. In 2019, the ness opened its doors. With limited budget and time, we made it work. The space quickly became a second home for us and everyone who walked through its doors or joined online—especially during the pandemic, when the ness found its way into your homes, and many of you picked up trampolines to move with us. That energy—the soul of 406—transcended the space, becoming a foundation for our virtual community. Now, after 5.5 years of saving, planning, and building, we’re thrilled to welcome you to our next chapter at 200 Church Street. Designed from the ground up, this new space embodies everything the ness represents: intimacy, wellness, and community—a place to gather, move, reflect and enhance your quality/state of being. Though digital connections remain, nothing replaces the magic of a physical space where you can reconnect with yourself and this city. Physical businesses have supported us in ways that extend far beyond the practical. Tuxedo Hospitality and VERAYOGA were part of our journey before we even knew it. This, to me, is what supporting local truly means: allowing spaces that hold dreams, spark relationships, and foster communities to thrive. As we open 200 Church, we hope it becomes more than just a new location for you. We hope it feels like your own—a place where your story unfolds in self-discovery, connection, and maybe even new friendships. To all the third places that shaped us—thank you. Here’s to the magic of small businesses, physical spaces, and creating places that feel like home.
