Well, I am very disappointed in season 2 so far. And to the people saying only biased manga readers don't like it, I haven't read the manga and I don't like it. The season is very predictable so far, and you always know the kids are going to be okay. In season 1, lots of bad things happened to the characters that made the show unpredictable and had you on the edge of your seat the whole show. For example, Krone's death, Norman getting shipped away, and Emma breaking her leg. However, in season 2, the kids always get away unscathed, it's like they have plot armor. I'm talking, specifically about episode 4. The kids escaped the soldiers and no one got hurt. Yes, kids with bows can beat adults with guns. I saw a review defending the episode saying that the soldiers didn't want to kill them, only capture them. Let's say this is true. The kids are ARMED. If the soldiers didn't want to kill the kids, why not DISARM them? But no, they just stood there like idiots and let the kids shoot them with arrows. Also, the demon at the end of the episode eats the soldiers but not the kids. These terrible writing choices are slowly killing the suspense that the first season had. You now feel no emotion in the series, because you know that nothing bad can happen to the kids. And it's not just episode 4 that I didn't like. I feel that episode 1 and 3 were very rushed. It contradicted the slow pace of season 1. So far, the only episode I like in the season is episode 2, because it gives us answers to the many questions in the first season. But one episode is not enough to carry the whole season. The show is now slowly turning into a kids' show, and I am very disappointed.
