I loved this game as a kid and wanted to give it another go. I simply couldn’t put it down, it’s just so endlessly cute, and the graphics are so stylish, colorful, and very “N64.” It feels like a combination of Zelda and Mario in the best way possible. The collectibles are there, but they’re not that difficult, but still entertaining to seek out.
This belongs up there with the likes of Ocarina of Time, Banjo Kazooie, and Mario 64, not because it’s of the same scope or scale as them, but because it captures a cinematic take on early 3D graphics and tells a comical story well, while remaining engaging with fun gameplay in a unique Japanese setting.
This is an easy recommendation for anyone that’s interested in the N64 library.
Very Japanese. In a good way. Man I want to get me some of those dumplings.

A fun comedic adventure in a sillier fuedal Japan. Controls are mostly good, but can be clunky for the Chain Pipe, and running/jumping along walls can sap all your momentum.
I would look up a guide for the Impact sections (big robot), they can take a long while, especially if you don't use some of your stronger hidden moves.
