GUIDANCE FOR OVERSEAS VISITORS
From London Heathrow Airport:
The Railair RA1 service is a frequent coach service that operates 7 days a week between Reading rail station and all Heathrow Terminals. The express coaches operate daily every 30 minutes and the journey takes 40 minutes to Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 5 (1 hour to Terminal 4). Visit the Railair website for more information.
This service takes you right into the centre of Reading (rail station) and from there you can get a taxi either to your hotel or to the Güralp offices.
Taxi:
Taxi’s can be arranged in advance to collect you at Heathrow Airport, which is usually more cost effective than picking one up outside the Terminal building on arrival. Typical cost would be £65.00 each way.
From London City Airport:
Public transport is the best way to get from the centre of London to the Güralp offices. Take the London Underground to Waterloo Station and then a train to Basingstoke. You can then take a taxi either to your hotel or to the Güralp offices.
From London Gatwick Airport:
The Gatwick Express is a frequent train service that operates between Gatwick Airport and Reading rail station. Tickets can be purchased at the station prior to boarding the train.
This service takes you right into the centre of Reading and from there you can get a taxi either to your hotel or to the Güralp offices.
Taxi:
Taxi’s can be arranged in advance to collect you at Gatwick Airport, which is more cost effective than picking one up outside the Terminal building on arrival. Typical cost would be £130.00 each way.
From London Luton and Stanstead Airports:
The most cost effective transport from these two airports is to hire a car (you should allow at least four hours to travel to the airports in busy traffic).
