Frequently Asked Questions

How do I renew my existing subscription?
If you purchased from our website with a credit card, your license will automatically renew using the card on-file.
You can manage your subscription and renewal methods for Geneious Prime Personal or Group subscriptions by logging into My Account.
For all other plan types, please contact us.
Can I buy licenses on behalf of others?
Yes, team subscriptions are recommended for administering multiple users as they allow you to assign and manage named user licenses directly from your account.
Personal subscriptions bought online are assigned to the purchaser and cannot be reallocated. If you need to buy personal licenses for other users, please contact us.
Am I eligible for student pricing?
Students currently enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate degrees can use student licenses. A student license can only be owned by an individual as opposed to a University department.
What happens when my subscription plan expires?
Geneious Prime reverts to restricted mode when the subscription has expired. In restricted mode you can view your data and import and export your files, however most other functions are disabled.
Is my data secure?

Can I pay by purchase order?
Academic plans over $750 USD and corporate plans over $2,000 USD may be eligible for purchase with a PO. Please contact us to confirm if your order qualifies.
