VAPA, a true whirlwind of energy live, is back with six new tracks that confirm an artistic direction closer to the 'melodic techno' scene.
A common thread since his beginnings, VAPA invites us to step onto the dancefloor for a suspended moment. Anchored by massive and solid percussion, his rolling basslines transport us on a highway with no exits (his stay in Cologne, Germany from 2018 to 2022 left its mark) with a whole carried by melodic synths that are as delicate as they are furious. VAPA feels like he is in the right place, where everything makes sense for a moment. The result is the track "Eponym," a subtle and ironic play on words that emphasizes that the EP is so representative of VAPA that it could be considered the "name" of the music itself.
VAPA's universe is inspired by several techno influences such as KAS:ST, Einmusik, Joris Voorn (who, incidentally, plays his track Sailing), as well as labels like Stil Vor Talent, Arcane Music, or Katermukke. These are techno labels that he enjoys showcasing every month in his radio show Passion Kick.
With his first two EPs, an invitation to 'Côté Club' on France Inter, and a presence in prominent playlists like Spotify's "Electronic Rising" or Deezer's “Techno Tunnel,” VAPA has carved out a place in the electro landscape. After notable performances at Trans Musicales, MaMA, and a sold-out Boule Noire last December, VAPA confirms that on stage or streaming, his powerful and elegant music DNA resonates with a French and international audience.
