Mooglie’s signature sound could be described as uplifting, warm as he brings melodic techno to another level by incorporating alternative influences and a hint of French touch. It continues to evolve as his continuous search for contemporary sound design has brought him to incorporate the organic feel of pop-new wave drums and hypnotizing polyrhythms.
Before he was ‘Mooglie’, Louis spent years honing his craft - digging for new sounds, jamming on guitars and experimenting with various instruments. His musical career actually began playing guitar in rock bands, before catching the French electro wave. This explains why his influences include Arctic Monkeys, Justice, Daft Punk, Cassius, Moderat and Phoenix.. Just to name a few.
Once Mooglie was born, his initial breakthrough came after signing to scene leader Agoria’s label Sapiens in 2020. . The ‘Prélude’ EP quickly found global support in many key DJs and racked up an impressive 2 million streams in just a few months. He quickly followed up with another 2 EPs on Sapiens Records – ‘Aaliyah’ in 2020 and ‘Niagara’ in 2021.
Mooglie continues to develop his musical vision and his love for analog hardware and synthesizers has no sign of slowing down. His releases are coming in hot and his live performances continue to impress. The future is looking bright.
