Romane Serda, born February 26, 1971 in Paris, is a French singer, songwriter, producer, musician and actress.
After growing up in the Drôme and studying in Montpellier, she made a name for herself at an early age, playing the lead role in a series broadcast on France 2.
She then moved to London for six years, where she began making music, preparing her first album with passion and independence and working with John Reynolds, Sinéad O'Connor's Irish producer and arranger for Björk, Dido and U2, before returning to France in 1999. She met Renaud, then Rudolph Schenker, frontman of the band Scorpions, who wrote songs for her with English lyrics. She went on to share a love affair with Renaud, formalized by their marriage in 2005.
In 2004, her 1st self-titled album was a success, boosted in particular by the duet Anaïs Nin, which reached No.12 in the sales charts and put the album on the map, where it remained for 32 weeks, peaking at No.57.
She was nominated at the 2005 Victoires de la Musique awards in the “Album Revelation of the Year” category.
In 2006, Romane wrote the song “J'ai retrouvé mon flingue” for Renaud.
After maternity leave and the arrival of their son Malone, Romane Serda composes her 2nd album, “Après la Pluie”, with lyrics by Renaud. Released on her birthday, February 26, 2007, it was a great success (ranked 44th in sales in France) and confirmed her singular voice, the fruit of a rich personal journey.
In 2011, Romane continues her artistic evolution with her optimistic, warm and luminous 3rd album, “Ailleurs”. Co-writer on some tracks and co-composer on ten, Romane Serda is also involved as an artistic co-producer.
In 2016, she composed the track “Pour Karim pour Fabien” for Renaud.
Author, composer and producer, Romane released a 4th album “Pour te plaire” in 2018, offering us a journey between sunny air pop and more intimate ballads.
In 2019, she composes 2 tracks for Renaud: “Parc Montsouris” and “Mes copains”.
In 2021, her autobiographical novel “À la vie, à l'amour” reveals an intimate facet of her career and her unexpected encounters (Jean-Jacques Goldman, Les Scorpions, Jacques Martin, Renaud).
Her 5th album, “Sujet sensible”, will be released on April 25, 2025.
