Jochem Hamerling was born on March 17, 1986, into a family where music was an integral part of life. From the moment his small hands could reach the piano keys, he began exploring the world of music. Soon after, he expanded his skills to other instruments like the saxophone and started experimenting with his father's synthesizers, crafting his first tracks.
At the age of 17, Hamerling moved to Chicago, USA, to complete his high school education. It was there that he fell in love with the vibrant house music scene, inspired by legendary DJs like Derrick Carter and Paul Johnson. This newfound passion led him to dive deep into the world of dance music.
After graduating, Hamerling returned to the Netherlands, where he quickly made a name for himself in the local club scene as a DJ. He also invested in a quality studio to produce his own music. It wasn't long before major record labels recognized his talent, leading to releases on prestigious labels and support from renowned DJs such as Hernan Cattaneo, Marco Carola, and Armin van Buuren.
In addition to his success as a DJ and producer, Hamerling became a music curator for leading dance radio shows in the Netherlands on radiostations SLAM! and Radio 538. His work on these shows earned him a Gouden Radioring nomination and solidified his reputation as a key figure in the Dutch dance scene.
Music is more than just a profession for Hamerling—it's a passion that shines through in his tracks and live performances. Whether in the studio or on stage, he brings energy and creativity to every set, captivating audiences around the globe.
