New album "Alma (Deluxe Version)" out now
Born in 1981, and nurtured by many influences, Yaron Herman is one of the most recognized and distinctive pianists on the international jazz scene. Since his first solo, duo and trio albums in the 2000s, Yaron Herman has developed a unique art of improvisation, of experimentation—and of covers, too, as the success of his “Toxic” (Britney Spears) attests, while theorizing, publishing and developing an audience around the concept of creativity.
After ten albums, here he is in October 2023, launching himself into the void with his project “Alma” and, for the first time, offering us an entirely improvised body of work, at once a staggering snapshot of the present and a rich mirror of his past.
"With this album, I wanted to go straight to the point. To what I consider essential. Without any pre-determined concept, plan or specific theme. Just sitting at the piano, closing my eyes and letting the music guide me. Into an inner journey.". A solo piano album that has already proven itself by having conquered more than 3M listeners.
This was followed by a deluxe edition released in July 2023 with 5 new tracks. A reissue that gives us the opportunity to go further into the artist's inner journey.
