The Arkadia Jazz All-Stars (arkadiajazzallstars.com) was formed in 1996 by Bob Karcy, producer, musician, Founder of Arkadia Records (arkadiarecords.com). His goal was to harness the brilliance of the Artists on the Arkadia labels, with some of Jazz’s biggest stars as guests, creating an unparalleled series of new studio albums.
The 1st release, “Thank You, Duke!” will be released on 4/30/21, followed by “The Stars of Jazz #1” on 5/21/21.
Ten albums are recorded. Others are coming. The Thank You series are tributes to Jazz giants John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Joe Henderson and Gerry Mulligan. Others albums are thematic, original recordings. These releases have received three Grammy Award Nominations.
