Gäbler is a composer for film and TV music. His unmistakable signature is shaped by gospel music, choir seminars and gospel workshops and the productions of numerous musicals for choirs. This music was the content of 20 years of his musical career. He is also active in jazz and soul music and had engagements for Alicia Keys (2011/12), Lalah Hathaway (2012/16) and Celine Dion (2013). He creates remixes for artists from Sony-Music and writes second-hand on the repertoire of the publishing artists. His Funkworld recording studio is affiliated with the music publisher Funkworld Medien based in Kiebitzreihe near Hamburg.
Gäbler is a lecturer at the Hamburg University of Music for jazz and church music and at the Nordkolleg in Rendsburg. He leads workshops across Europe for gospel music, film music and composition in general.x
