Nuevo disco "El Dedo en la Llaga"
Marabunta was born in the bowels of Seville's Aljarafe at the end of the 90s, under the name ESPURGAPERROS 666, recording an EP of 5 songs in 2001, titled EL CIRCO DE LOS HORRORES, with which they gave their first concerts in the province of Seville. In 2003 they ceased their activity until 2008, the year in which their original members decided to unite their musical paths again, now with MARABUNTA. In those 5 years of hiatus, its members coincided in several now-defunct Sevillian metal and punk projects, such as Postmortem, Terror Humano or Exhale.
It will be in 2009 when they actively return to the stage, releasing in 2012 their second work, BURIED VIVO, seven cuts in which the eclectic character of the band is shown, combining a rich amalgam of musical styles, all of them revolving around Metal: Hardcore, Rap, Punk, Thrash, Groove, Funk and even flamenco... But the essence of Marabunta is forged in its live performance, where its forcefulness and versatility are truly palpable and the anthill crushes all those styles in direct and devastating shows.
In 2018 they released their third album, ALWAYS PRESENTE, a full-length album that generally has a much more aggressive tendency than the previous one, with much more elaborate guitar riffs and vocal lines, supported by a beastly rhythmic base that leaves no one indifferent. to nobody. The band's sound takes a twist with deeper and more devastating rhythms.
During all these years the band has performed more than 150 live shows in venues and festivals throughout the peninsula, sharing the stage with great bands such as SoziedadAlkoholika, Narco, Crisix, Hora Zulú, Ofunkíllo, Brutal Thin, Los de Marras, Ñu, Cuernos de Chivo , Memento Mori HC, Verdugo, Kathew, BrothersTillWe Die, Tiempos de Ira, Knibal, Hummano, Bellako, Anal Hard, Vendetta Fucking Metal, Alea Jacta Est, Blowfuse, ARDEN and much more.
At this moment they are about to give birth to their fourth work, EL DEDO EN LA LLAGA. Eight new cuts with a renewed sound, carefully crafted and more forceful, where hardcore, metalcore, thrash and even deathcore take on more relevance, but without losing their hallmark.
After a forced break due to the COVID 19 pandemic, changes in the line-up and a hip operation for Olea also involved, after many months of work cooking new material, the band is preparing its new stage, in the who will perform numerous concerts throughout the country and will show the public a mature and consolidated work, which does not lose its strength, on the contrary, they will return with the combative character as always and more explosive and rabid than ever...
