Night Flight are a London group founded by singer-songwriter Sam Holmes. Formed in 2017, they make melodic, experimental indie-folk that blends contemplative lyrics, joyful melodies, and sometimes jagged, often glassy guitar-led textures.
They have played to audiences all over the UK and Europe including supporting Paul Simon at Hyde Park and most recently headlining the Jazz Cafe in London.
‘Songs From Echo Zoo’ marks their sophomore LP. Recorded sporadically throughout Covid and its aftermath at Echo Zoo Studios in Eastbourne with producer James Mottershead, ‘Songs From Echo Zoo’ signifies the final record between the core four that made up the band between 2018 and 2022 - Sam Holmes (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Harry Phillips (lead guitar, BVs) Oliver Halvorson (bass, synths, BVs, and Dan Webb (drums). With a new album already in the works and an additional EP on its way in the new year, the LP is very much the start of a new beginning for Night Flight.
“Breezy, appealingly languid folk-rock with shades of Dylan, the Band, and Neil Young” **** The Times
