Rolando Marchesini defines himself as a music maker, multi-instrumentalist and producer. He writes music mostly working with small ensambles, mixing real and virtual instruments, combining musical genres, from minimalism to pop, from ambient/electronic to contemporary classical.
His passion for music started when he was a child at the age of 6, when he asked his parents to let him take guitar and mandolin lessons. His early projects as a teenager included some local bands. During the '90s Rolando took lessons in piano and composing, he has composed and produced music for shorts and advertising for Italian and foreign production companies. From here on, writing music for images become his main interest and occupation.
Rolando's first credit as a film score composer arrived in 2008 for "Tre Lire Primo Giorno".
Other credits include scores for "Un Sogno Serio"(2009), "Fuoriscena" (Opening Act) (2013), "My Name Is Adil" (2016), "Storie Di Pietre" (2019)
In 2019 he wrote the music for the theatre drama "L'Alieno"
Rolando lives in Milan, this city allowed him to embark on his musical journey. He writes music every day, simply because it makes him feel good.
