A treat” or “a moment’s grace” for some, “a record that literally melts in your ears,” for others, people tried to convey in their own words the pleasure they experienced in 2013 listening to Roseaux’s first album. It was an atypical project, lovingly crafted by a little brotherhood of Parisian talent, its members as diverse as they are complimentary, but whatever their own perspectives or insights, for Emile Omar, Clément Petit, and Alex Finkin, their differences are less important than what holds them together.
At the heart of their affinity there’s plenty of black American music, soul and jazz, of course, but also house and hip hop. Reaching out in the direction of reggae, folk, West Indian and African music and bossa nova, showing their strong attachment to the song form.
In February 2023, they release a new special single for Valentine's Day with Aloe Blacc "Loving you is All I Want to Do".
A new album is announced for fall 2023.
