Diana Fuentes started her musical journey with a solid educational foundation. After completing her music studies at Instituto Superior de Arte on the outskirts of Havana, she joined the Afro-Cuban fusion group Sintesis, and appeared on the group’s album Habana a Flor de Piel, which received a Latin GRAMMY® nomination in 2002. She also collaborated with the Cuban singer and songwriter X Alfonso on his album X Moré, which received a 2002 Latin GRAMMY® nomination for Best Rap/Hip-Hop Album. She contributed vocals to such critically acclaimed singles as “Algo en Común” by Amaury Pérez, “Mambo” by Roberto Carcasés and “Talking to the Universe” by Aldo López Gavilán.
These successes led to work with the renowned producer Descemer Bueno, who recorded her solo debut album, Amargo Pero Dulce (Bitter But Sweet), influenced by R&B and soul. Her second album, Planeta Planetario (Planet Planetarium), garnered attention outside of Cuba, with producer Eduardo “Visitante” Cabra incorporating vibrant rhythms and unique sounds to express her experiences and artistic interests.
She recently released her single "Después De Mi" in collaboration with Leoni Torres.
