Edmundo Fernando Corona Murillo was born on July 26, 1970, in Tijuana, Mexico, and spent part of his life in Ensenada, Mexico. In the year 2000, he returned to Tijuana and later moved to Barcelona, Spain. Since 1988, he has been part of various electronic music, rock, and jazz groups. He was a founding member of the Nortec Collective of musicians from Baja California. Following the musical principles of this collective, he started his solo project as Terrestre in 1998. Since 2001, he has used the alias Murcof for his minimalist electronic music compositions.
This artist has been one of the most important representatives of Mexican electronic music, which has led him to perform in many parts of the world. He has also released seven albums, which brought him fame in the early 2000s.
Currently, Edmundo Corona continues composing and performing at various venues, now in Spain, where he has been living for several years.
