José Fernando Morales Rivera (born August 19, 1984), known as Kendo Kaponi, is a Puerto Rican rapper and actor.
In 2018, he was arrested in Coamo, Puerto Rico on charges of armed burglary and assault in Florida.[1]

Personal life
Kendo began to live in substitute homes when he was seven years old, which were assigned because of his parents addictions.[2] He tried to commit suicide using pills at the age of sixteen, but was seen by cameras and later helped.[2] At the age of nineteen, he was released from prison and went under the Vida Independiente program from nineteen to twenty one, where he learned how to be a barber.[2] When he was released from prison, he came to live his mom, which was rehabilitated, but was only with her for six months, because she died of AIDS.[2]
He is the father of his two daughters, Kidea Gasel, and Chaniel Kaponi.[2]
Career
He has released two studio albums, Kendo Edition in 2016, and El Alfa & El Omega in 2018. He is also known for participating in productions with Don Omar such as Don Omar Presents: Meet the Orphans, which include "El Duro", "Viviendo Con el Enemigo", and "RX".[3] He was also involved in a diss battle against Baby Rasta and Arcángel.[4]
Legal issues
His first arrest came at the age of thirteen, and was released when he was nineteen for a drug charge, violation to gun law, attempted murder, and liberty restriction.[2]
In 2014, Kaponi was arrested for domestic violence, but bailed $135,000.[5] In 2016, he was detained because his car was not up-to-check with its transfer process,[3] and in January 2017, Kaponi was detained for a contempt order for not paying an alemony.[3]
Kaponi was arrested by federal agents in 2018 on charges of armed burglary and assault.[6][7] He was arrested in the street PR-143[8] in Sector Hayales of Coamo, Puerto Rico,[9] and then extradited to Florida.[10] He was accused of attacking barber Jon Erik Baez-Molano behind Custom Kut[11] with a metal tube and a piece of wood, along with another person, they then took his wallet.[12] The incident happened in Winter Haven, Florida, a city located southwest of Orlando.[1] The incident occurred on July 28, 2017.[1] He also had a $3,000 bounty for his arrest.[1
