Adam Scrimshire is a multi-instrumentalist, writer, producer and mix engineer based in South London.
His music has consistently had the support of BBC Radio DJs including Gilles Peterson, Jamie Cullum, Guy Garvey, Huey Morgan, Cerys Matthews, Tom Ravenscroft. In 2022 his album Nothing Feels Like Everything was nominated as an album of the year at the Gilles Peterson Worldwide Awards and he was featured in the Guardian as one of three of the UK’s most significant soul music producers alongside Swindle and Little Simz/Cleo Sol/Adele producer Inflo.
In recent years Adam has worked as a mix engineer for artists including Daudi Matsiko, Mark de Clive-Lowe’s Rōnin Arkestra, Huw Marc Bennett, Bev Lee Harling and Stac and has mastered records for a massively diverse list including Killing Joke, Dele Sosimi, The Milk, Emma-Jean Thackray and more.
For over 10 years Scrimshire was a co-owner of the Wah Wah 45s record label and in 2015 founded his own Albert’s Favourites imprint which released its 16th album in 2023. He and the label have worked hard to champion artist’s rights and create the best possible working conditions and support for the musicians it represents.
