Markantonio is one of Italy’s most accomplished electronic music artists.
Italy’s Naples region is a breeding ground of creativity that has spawned many of today’s most exciting young techno artists.
With a career that spans over two decades, Markantonio is one of the people who pioneered techno in Naples, inspiring today’s younger generation and, as one of Italy’s most respected DJ/Producers, he remains one of Europe’s most demanded artists with a large following in South America.
Flying all over the world to play gigs at festivals and super clubs, his underground style us focused mainly around techno, but he is an exceptional DJ also known for incorporating other genres such as house and melodic. His legendary Boiler Room set in Naples is just one example of his mastery behind the decks.
He is a regular performer at world famous venues like Fabrik in Madrid, Fabric London, and festivals such as Monegros, Awakenigs, Sonus, Toffler and Freedom Festival. Markantonio also runs his own party “Casamia” which is held at the Duel Club in Naples.
Many also know him for the music he has released on influential techno labels including Carl Cox’s Intec, Pan-Pot’s Second State, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode and many others.
Between 2020 and 2022, Markantonio has featured many successful releases starting from “Myself EP” on Joseph Capriati’s REDIMENSION, “Big UP” and “Disconation” two successful EPs on Paco Osuna’s Mindshake with full appreciations for his different house taste, “Neapel EP” on Eats Everything and Andres Campo label EI8HT Records, plus other top selling reworks including “Euphoria” by Egbert and Metodi Hirstov.
In addition to releasing on other labels, Markantonio also heads up his own imprint AnalyticTrail where he’s really prolific. He recently celebrated the 100th release with “Cento”, an EP of his own music that also featured remixes by Kaiserdisco and Spartaque but in order of time his last success on the imprint is “String Your Life” out the past June.
AnalyticTrail has been one of the most vital labels in techno, and included in its back catalogue are tracks and remixes by Paco Osuna, Spektre, UMEK, Perc, Wehbba, The Advent and Cari Lekebusch. The label also signed early releases from the likes of Roberto Capuano, Joseph Capriati and Luigi Madonna who following Markantonio’s support, are now some of the biggest names in techno.
