SSOL is a play on the name of the artist's great grandfather, band leader Joe Loss, after whom the artist himself was named. The Joe Loss Orchestra was one of the most successful dance acts of the big band era and Joe led the band from 1930s right through to the late 80s - just when EDM was beginning to achieve widespread, mainstream popularity in Europe! Dance music is in SSOLs DNA.
SSOL has started writing his own chapter to this musical story with a string of hot releases including most notably ‘Think For Yourself’, and ‘At Your Side’. SSOL has been supported with releases on heavyweight label Profound, has an upcoming EP with Low Ceiling, and has been featured on live streams of Jax Jones’ apple radio show, James Hypes Stereotype Global. SSOLs music has also been featured live by a number of top DJs including Shift K3y and Don’t Blink.
Outside of music, SSOL graduated with a masters from the #1 data science course in the world at Imperial College and started a technology company that has deployed innovative AI solutions at some of the biggest companies in London. He is a keen chess player and avid follower of Manga.
