SOMER is a Colombian alternative rock band, founded in 2017 in Armenia. It is made up of Iván Álvarez on vocals and guitar, Sebastián González on bass and Edmer Fernández (Bam bam) on drums.
The band is characterized by its fusion of rock with genres such as punk rock, hard rock, progressive rock and alternative metal. Their music is energetic, powerful and fast, and their lyrics convey messages with meaning and awareness.
SOMER is a name taken from Jewish mythology, a Hebrew term which we can interpret as guardian, protector, a watchman, a leader.
Its lyrics are also an invitation to raise awareness, an awakening that allows us to look around us and not be indifferent to social problems, an emotional look at ourselves that leads us to think about others.
SOMER is a band with great potential that is growing rapidly in the Colombian rock scene.
