Leonel was born on January 27, 1975 in Mexico City. At the age of twelve, he began his path as an author composing his first songs and participating in events and scholar groups where his outstanding voice immediately set him apart of the rest. After years of hard work in the music industry in the year 2000 Leonel is signed by Sony Music, while he meets Noel Schajris, and together form the duo "Sin Bandera", which sold over 3,000,000 copies of their albums and offered more than 1,200 concerts in Mexico, United States, Central and South America over their 8 years of work.
In 2008 launched his solo project under the pseudonym of Leon Polar, a very personal project, produced by himself and which participated in the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas and the LAMC in New York.
In 2010 Leonel Garcia presented the album "Tú" internationally, being his first production in which he used his real name. Additionally, the song "Para Empezar" and its video, won the love of the people, positioning itself as one of the classics pieces of the singer. Today it has over 12 million views on VEVO .
Later he launched a special project called "LEONEL GARCIA Y SUS AMIGOS EN NAVIDAD". In 2013 he released his album "TODAS MIAS" which reached platinum certification and is a tribute to his most successful and beloved creations.
In 2014 Leonel returns to the music scene with his new album titled "Amor Futuro", where he presented his single "Remember?", A ballad that will make us reflect on what we have left behind and will not return.
