The Griswolds are best known for their catchy tunes, party style live shows, and tongue-in-cheek humour. Formed by singer songwriter Chris Whitehall, the indie-rock band became an alternative radio sensation following their debut album, “BE IMPRESSIVE” in 2014, which included the hit song, “Beware The Dog”. The album was embraced by music bloggers and radio powerhouses like Alt-Nation, where “Beware The Dog” spent two months at number one on their Alt18 Charts and was awarded Rolling Stone Australia’s Single Of The Year.
As The Griswolds fanbase spread out from their home in Australia, they relocated to the USA where they have played multiple sold out tours (including to the UK), festival mainstages (Bonaroo, Firefly), and tours with the likes of Walk The Moon, Andrew McMahon & The Wilderness, The Kooks, Catfish & The Bottlemen and X Ambassadors.
Since the last album, Chris Whitehall has co-written songs with Carly Rae Jepsen, Walk the Moon, Matt Maeson, Saint Motel, The Mowglis, Dreamers, QUIX and Morgxn. Chris, as The Griswolds, has featured on records by Prince Fox, Max Styler, Vincent and Autograf. As well, an early career feature from rising star Lizzo has gained awareness on the The Griswolds single "YDLM".
