Fabrice Ravel-Chapuis composes chamber music with influences marked both by the American minimalist movement and by the heritage of French impressionist composers.
He became known to the public in the 1990s thanks to Artango, a contemporary tango duo. Between 1993 and 2003, Artango released five albums, including Métropole, Un Soir (Virgin Classics) in which the duo offered the collaboration of the Orchester National de Lille conducted by Jean-Claude Casadesus.
Fabrice Ravel-Chapuis has an important career as an arranger, among others for Bénabar, François Morel, Salvatore Adamo, Jean Guidoni, Yves Duteil, or even Régine and a career as a composer of instrumental music for image.
