Guilherme Vieira, Brazilian musician and composer from the city of Pelotas - RS, who seeks his musical activity within the creative exploration of Brazilian music and its dialogue with music from other parts of the world, especially Uruguay and Argentina.
Guilherme currently works as a teacher, interpreter, arranger, popular composer and also of music for dance at Daniel Amaro's Dance Company. He is part of the group Chorei Sem Querer as composer, arranger, mandolinist and cavaquinist, a role he also plays in the Clube de Choro de Pelotas. In 2021, he released his first album VIAGEM, an idea that was born from his 6-year experience in Argentina. Recorded in 6 cities and 3 countries, it brings 12 new compositions that mix genres from all over Mercosur and is scheduled for release in early 2021. Guilherme holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in music from UFRGS, where he served as a teacher (2011-12) as well as in the Popular Music course at UFPEL (2018-9), having been one of the coordinators and creators of the Núcleo da Canção-UFPEL.
