Switzerland is missing some boldness. RYANGEL aims to bring a unique and different creativity through his musical and visual universe. Its main musical genre is house, but the duo wants to stay open to the different trends and collaboration opportunities. During 2017, we wish to start exporting our projects across Europe and to show that Switzerland also has a place on the electronic music scene. With your support, help us prove that Swiss artists also are able to stand out !
STORY
In August 2013, Lucien Meylan and Fabrice Pitter imagine together, for the first time, the artistic project RYANGEL. A few weeks after their discussion, Lucien leaves for a language stay in Vancouver, Canada. An event that won't obstruct their plans. It's decided, Lucien becomes the image of RYANGEL and has to develop his skills in DJing and music production before the official release of the project. During his stay in Vancouver, Lucien takes some lessons in a music school, and when he came back to Switzerland in February 2014, he's ready.
Fabrice owns a large network in the nightlife environment. The 1st March 2014, RYANGEL plays publicly for the first time at the Globull in Bulle during the night "Mindcontrol". For the rest of this year, RYANGEL plays in some of the biggest clubs in Switzerland like the MAD in Lausanne, the Kaufleuten in Zürich, the Casineum in Lucern or even the MOA in Geneva. Also in 2014, RYANGEL mixes in two important festivals : the Lake Parade in Geneva and the legendary Street Parade in Zürich.
In 2015, despite Fabrice's wish to leave for professionnal reasons, Lucien goes on. RYANGEL continues to play at the MAD in Lausanne, at the Rodolphe in Neuchâtel, at the Club du Théâtre in Bern, at the Cheminée in Verbier and at the now famous, "JFX Energy Night" in Payerne. In 2015, he also meet a composer/producer from Lausanne : Bastien Sudan (aka Stratox). With the participation of the video-marker Anthony Tache, the two young artists decided to produce their first track together : "Milk Addiction".
Late 2015 and early 2016 were devoted to the production of the track and its video clip. A significant and unique work. The track was released on May 2016 and received an unexpected success : 100k views on the video clip. This project opens the doors of the famous D! Club in Lausanne and offers a place on the Paradise Boat's line up. The same year, RYANGEL released a second track "Adventure feat. Sacha", still in collaboration with Bastien, and played again at the "JFX Energy Night" in front of over 1'200 people.
In 2017, satisfied about their collaboration, Lucien and Bastien decide to officially join together as one entity : RYANGEL, thereby forming a duo. The two members take really different roles in the projects realization. A smart choice that allows to speed up the production while maintaining regular DJ sets. RYANGEL keeps Lucien's appearance and Bastien becomes the composer. In this way, all of these innovations unfold under Fabrice's fraternal eye, whose dream seems, after 3 years, to take on a whole new dimension.
