Fifteen years after the start of her solo career, Marie-Pierre Arthur treats herself to the gift of meticulousness with 'Album bleu,' set to be released in autumn 2024. The singer-songwriter's fifth full-length album was born from the time invested in funneling all ideas to keep only the most intense result, crafted with finesse. Alongside her main collaborator, François Lafontaine—her partner in music and life—and with a game-changing new collaboration, Sébastien Blais Montpetit, she granted herself the freedom to explore every track. The creative unity expands into lyrical territory as well, with new voices invited for the first time to shine a different light. Amylie and Carole Facal contribute their words to 'Album bleu,' while Mantisse and Rau_Ze infuse their youthful spirit into the project.
Initially known as a bassist, Marie-Pierre Arthur has released four albums, including her self-titled debut in 2009. 'Aux alentours' emerged in February 2012, followed by her soulful voice leading us elsewhere in February 2015 with 'Si l’aurore.' After 'Des feux pour voir,' released in January 2020, 'Album bleu' arrives in 2024 on Simone Records with the promise of moving us together. Marie-Pierre Arthur brings back her distinctive style, intertwining words into melodies like pieces of a perfect puzzle.
