Why do police need more "protections" to do their job? Current protections allow officers to ambush citizens, kill them, lie about the incident, falsify documentation, afford them legal protections and bail from FOP unions, and postpone justice for their errant behavior. While I understand the problems with recruiting officers, incentivizing college tuition for their spouses is not the answer... we desperately need quality officers and we need to incentivize education and tuition assistance for our current crop of high school /GED graduates.
