Oslo in the late 70s, he was surrounded by the vibrant music scene, often spending time at one of the citys first jazz clubs, Malla. His love for music started early, and at the age of 10-11, he picked up the guitar, drawn to heavy rock n roll with a touch of funk. In his youth, Zank toured around Norway and released several albums. However, after realizing that his future as a virtuoso instrumentalist wasnt in the cards, he pivoted. The late 90s/early 2000s found him working at Barbeint in Oslo, where he discovered electronic music — a moment that would change his life forever.
