OSAKA—Visitors to the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025 can interact with creatures and characters from the globally popular Monster Hunter video games in an immersive entertainment facility.

The Monster Hunter Bridge attraction will open inside the XD Hall, an annex to the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion, which will be operated by the Osaka prefectural and municipal governments, according to Capcom Co., the developer of the franchise.

Visitors will wear a device equipped with speakers and augmented-reality glasses to watch footage projected across the walls, ceiling and floor of a cylindrical theater.

The theater will be five meters high and measure 12 meters in diameter.

“We are developing a show that can be enjoyed by both those who know Monster Hunter and those who don’t,” said Kaname Fujioka, a development director at Capcom.

“So don’t miss out,” he said.

Admission is expected to be limited to visitors age 7 or older.

No extra charge will be necessary for expo admission ticket holders.

Capcom President Haruhiro Tsujimoto said, “We hope to present a future to the world through content that utilizes our technology and global brand.”

At an event to announce the program, actress Haru, an avowed fan of the video game franchise, interacted with footage still under development by fist-bumping Monster Hunter characters.

“I’m excited to see what kind of world will appear,” said Haru, who goes by one name.
