AEA Leadership
The American Economic Association (AEA) is guided by the mission described in its charter and by the official AEA By-Laws. It is governed by an elected executive committee and managed by a team of both appointed and elected officers serving in designated roles.
All AEA members are eligible to participate in annual board elections held each summer. The Executive Committee meets twice per year (in January and April.)
Several other AEA Committees are organized to fulfill specialized functions or to address outstanding issues.
