Tasmanian winemaker Ed Carr has become the first Australian winemaker to win the Sparkling Winemaker of the Year Award at the International Wine Challenge held in London.

And it's only the second time in forty years the award has not gone to a French winemaker from the Champagne area of that Country.

Ed Carr is the Chief Winemaker at the House of Arras in Piper's River, and Tony Briscoe spoke to him earlier this morning in London, about the award
