Incomplete

hi Varnent, thanks for the check on the Submissions/1 Year to get your things done and to present them at Wikimania Esino Lario. I see you marked it as incomplete but i don't understand what is the problem. thanks for your help so we can add the necessary information. regards, --Iopensa (talk) 15:16, 23 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello Iopensa, it was incomplete when I marked it 7 days ago - since then the information has been added - so it is no longer incomplete. I will change that when I do my next review of entries. --Varnent (talk) 15:35, 23 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
thanks Varnent. sorry I didn't see the answer. I didn't have the notifications on. perfect and thanks, --iopensa (talk) 11:26, 26 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Censorship

Iwrote, I will add the text - but yue deleted this that fast. So I have to admit, you are nothing more, than a censor. What you don't like gets eliminated. It is a shame! Submissions/Single, white, european, male - that's why the Foundation hates me! Marcus Cyron (talk) 12:15, 5 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

The deadline was a week ago and submissions this late get auto-disqualified. And honestly I thought it wasn't a legit submission. You are welcome to complete it - but it's late and will be disqualified. Censorship has nothing to do with it - you missed a basic public deadline. Sorry. Any submission sent at this point will get the same treatment - regardless of content. --Varnent (talk) 16:07, 5 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
You are right and I am sometimes way to hot blooded. I did not read correctly and thought, the date of the end of the review process would be the end of the submission time. Sorry. A bit ashamed... Marcus Cyron (talk) 00:12, 16 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
No problem. I have misread things too - it happens. I was accused of much worse that week - lol - so no worries. I appreciate you responding though. I can be hot blooded sometimes as well, and so I empathize. I have a lot of respect for passion for the movement, and my hunch is that is where this was coming from. I do apologize for deleting the page. I honestly did think not realize it was an intentional submission, given the timing, but I can see how that gave the false impression that my actions were about something else. --Varnent (talk) 02:56, 16 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Spanish

note that this talk is supposed to be in Spanish. That is why I moved it. Deror avi (talk) 09:03, 6 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Gotcha - sorry - thought it was a mistake on my end - didn't notice you had moved it. :) --Varnent (talk) 09:04, 6 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
also this I have moved. Deror avi (talk) 09:05, 6 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
Okay - if you can also update the categories when you move - that will help with tracking the numbers and such. :) --Varnent (talk) 09:08, 6 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
I think all the talks in Spanish should be moved to the 1000's. What do you think? such as this one. Deror avi (talk) 09:10, 6 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
That would help populate it more. It would probably be good to see if they do indeed relate or just happen to have been written in Spanish for whatever reason. --Varnent (talk) 09:12, 6 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
I have sent an email to the programme committee about it. I am in favour of moving it. Deror avi (talk) 09:17, 6 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Translatable templates

Hello Varnent, what do you think about making templates such as Template:Under review translatable as well? Or do you think there would be no need? Kind regards, --Brackenheim (talk) 11:32, 6 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

It's an idea I've been pondering. The problem is that the submission pages are not multi-language (yet?) - so we would require putting the language links for the templates inside the templates themselves - which is not an ideal solution. Thoughts? --Varnent (talk) 21:40, 8 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
You found the same problem that made me unsure, if it is a good idea to translate this template ;-) All the submission pages would be really too much...
Sometimes I tend to translate too much pages, so I thought it would be better to ask someone else. But what do you mean with "putting the language links for the templates inside the templates themselves"? I would have done the same as I did in Template:Attendees/100 and use Template:TNT. Regards, --Brackenheim (talk) 21:56, 8 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Tips

added some of mine if that is OK with you (you may revert me if disagreeing). Deror avi (talk) 20:18, 7 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Absolutely - do add more if you would like! My hope is that it can become a living document that the committee unofficially "claims" and updates over time. :) I mostly started it on my User page as I'd like to give us some level of privacy (while trying to remain transparent) while we work out the initial draft - but eventually I figure we can house it on Meta and see what happens. --Varnent (talk) 20:21, 7 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Submission review/3

3027 lacks an opening { at {R9|9.333}}. You may want to fix that since I cannot. :) とある白い猫 (talk) 17:14, 26 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

 Done - thank you! --Varnent (talk) 17:29, 26 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Wikimedia LGBT+ User Group

Hello,

Thank you for expressing interest in our proposed presentation on the Wikimedia LGBT+ User Group. Unfortunately, this proposal was not accepted by the Programme Committee and therefore will not be presented this year. However, you are still welcome to visit our stand in the Community Village and to attend the LGBT Meetup. For more information, please review the Wikimedia LGBT+ User Group at Wikimania 2015 page. I hope you enjoy Wikimania! Kind regards, CT Cooper · talk 06:42, 14 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
