MISSION
The University of North Florida Office of Strategic Communication works to promote University of North Florida Athletics in the community, state, region and nation.

Duties of the office include writing press releases and feature stories about University of North Florida Athletics, coordinating media relations and game day staffing for all home athletics events, and writing and producing special publications.

OFFICE LOCATION

The North Florida Strategic Communication office is located on the first floor of UNF Arena in Room 1062. Entering the arena through the front entrance, the office can be accessed by walking down the double doors past the main office before continuing past the men's basketball and women's basketball offices. Our office is to the left past the second set of double doors.

MEDIA INFORMATION

INTERVIEWS:

Interviews with UNF's coaches and student-athletes are encouraged, and every effort will be made to accommodate media requests. We ask that ALL interviews be coordinated through the North Florida Athletic Communications office.

Most practices are open to the media and public for all sports. There may be instances, however, when all or part of a practice session is closed. Please contact the North Florida Strategic Communications office in advance if you plan on attending a practice session so an escort can be made available.

Post game interview policies vary by sport, but as a general rule all coaches and players are made available to the media following a 10-minute "cooling off" period.

Phone interviews are also available, as needed, but student-athlete phone numbers are not available under any circumstances.

PARKING:

Parking on gameday is free of charge for the general public and members of the media, provided that cars are parked in the following lots:

-- Behind UNF Arena

-- Beside the UNF Tennis Complex

-- In the North Lot, which is located adjacent to the UNF Soccer Stadium

Cars parking in other areas will be ticketed.

For media members visiting campus for non-gameday interviews, please contact the North Florida Athletic Communications office so a parking pass can be secured for your visit.
