PIGG'S THOUGHTS

"Jonathan [Bailey] is rounding into form after joining the team in January. We knew to be patient and he ran a school record in the 100m to put him in the final today. I'm happy for him and look for good things to come. The 800m race went as planned with Ryan [Douihech] running a smart, tactical race to make the final. For the women, it was also executed well, as Smilla [Kolbe] and Ella [Chandler] looked great finishing 1-2 to advance to the final.

The men's steeple final was a strong event, as we had four guys in the top seven. Cole [Perry] is very consistent and handles himself very well. He was patient and strong at the end. Ilias [El Khattabi] ran well, but hit a hurdle in the final straight to drop to fifth. Gavin [O'Brien] had a bit of an off day relative to his standards, but still competed hard and came home sixth. Ben [Tary] has worked hard all year and learned a lot of new events, so I thought his race was very good. He never gave up and with his strong kick moved into seventh on the last lap. I am really proud of the whole group. They worked together and are a very dedicated group. Jada [Williams] has been consistent at her new event and she continues to work hard. Finishing eighth with a good finishing sprint was a nice way for the Ospreys to finish out the day."
