UNF Softball Complex

UNF Softball Complex

Capacity: 300 | Built: 1992 | Updated: 2018, 2020, 2022

The University of North Florida softball team plays at the UNF Softball Complex, located in the athletic complex next to Harmon Stadium.

The on-campus lighted field includes home and visitors dugouts with a storage area, an enclosed press box and easy access to the team's locker room, Harmon Stadium's concession stand and restrooms. The field was completed in 1992, the first season of Osprey softball. Batting cages are located behind the home dugout and stand alongside UNF's bullpen.

In 2018, a hurricane destroyed the original pressbox and in its place is now a ground-level box, featuring plenty of room for expanded coverage of the Ospreys. The project was installed with the help of Glenn Ross and his late wife Anita.

A turf halo as well as turf in front of the dug outs were added. Both dugouts feature restrooms and storage. A knee wall replaced fence and now nets surround the backtop to help with viewing.

The final piece of the project was a NEVCO videoboard. Its dimensions are 9.89'H x 18.87'W | 16mm (180 x 350 pixel matrix) featuring non-illuminated arch sign along with two non-illuminated sign spaces on the sides.

To help with the expansion of streaming coverage and fan experience, North Florida added elevated seating of around 300 in 2020. In 2021, UNF added outfield wallpads to tie in branding and make the facility similiar to some of the top facilities in the country.

In 2022, UNF upgraded the lighting system for the facility thanks to a partnership with Graybar and NGU Sports Lighting, LLC.
