- The following is in regards to Talk:Thirteen#Logos Prime
God I fucking hate this place sometimes. Oh well, I guess I'll see you in a month, maybe. - Magnus Maximus 21:12, 27 May 2009 (EDT)
- Hey MM, I've restored your account. I think Walky 1) didn't realize you'd moved rather than deleted information, and 2) thought you were another user who's had a bizarre focus on removing info from the 13 page in the past, neither of which seems to be the case. Your edits to the page seemed quite reasonable to me, though I'm not the expert on that particular subject.
- All that said, the 13 page is a little bit of a sensitive area for those who've struggled with it for ages (not that you should be expected to know this, but still.) It's probably not a bad idea to bring up possible changes on the talk page first, even relatively minor ones. -- Repowers 11:04, 28 May 2009 (EDT)
- Hey, thanks man. In my defence it had already been brought up on the talk page by someone else, and seemingly went unchallenged, and I did try to explain what I was doing in the edit summary. I thought the edit was reasonable, too, but apparently not. Whatever. I'm not so petty as to hold a grudge or anything. - Magnus Maximus 17:51, 28 May 2009 (EDT)
- But apparently I'm still blocked. - Magnus Maximus 17:58, 28 May 2009 (EDT)
- Hmm, I just tried to unblock you, and it says you're not blocked. The pages could be cached though. --abates 18:07, 28 May 2009 (EDT)
- I just checked, and you're unblocked. What you're experiencing may be a caching issue. Maybe your caching, maybe Squid on this end. Log out, purge your cache, and log back in. If it's still doing it, then it's likely the Squid cache issue Suki has been working on, and should be resolved soon. Hope this helps!--RosicrucianTalk 18:10, 28 May 2009 (EDT)
- Nope. Logged out, cleared cache and cookies, logged back in, same message as before. And I can't even log in at all when I try it with IE. Oh well, I'll come back tomorrow and try again. Hell of a time to get banned, eh? - Magnus Maximus 18:20, 28 May 2009 (EDT)
- Man, we are having the worst teething problems. I feel for Scout trying to get everything to cooperate. Anyway, I rebanned and then unbanned you to see if that would help. --abates 19:59, 28 May 2009 (EDT)
- It's not a caching issue - what happens when a banned user tries to edit a page is that that IP address is automatically blocked from editing ("Autoblocked", as it were) for a period of time to stop them switching accounts. This autoblock does NOT automatically end with the original ban (whether it expires or, as here, is actually rescinded), and every time an autoblocked user tries to edit a page... it gets longer. This isn't an unexpected side effect of the wiki moving, it's the designed behaviour.
- Either an admin needs to go to Special:Ipblocklist and explicitly undo the autoblock, or MM needs to wait until that ends before trying to edit. - SanityOrMadness 20:10, 28 May 2009 (EDT)
- Aha! done! --abates 21:51, 28 May 2009 (EDT)

I'm a month weighing in on this, but surely a mod should be able to spot regular editors by name alone? Magnus has uploaded tons of images. If all of a sudden, somebody like him appeared to be vandalising stuff, a cursory investigation should at least be made? Hell, unless there was widespread abuse, I'd give everybody the benefit of the doubt just in case little brother or evil work colleague was playing practical joker Drmick 13:21, 1 July 2009 (EDT)

Small request
If you're going to upload any more Marvel UK covers, could you please upload them to "Image:MarvelUK-XXX.jpg" (where XXX is a three digit number with leading zeros, e.g., 012 for #12) and stick a replacedimage template on the old one?
The naming schema for them right now is a complete mess - if we ever upgrade so that files can be moved like pages (as the current MediaWiki version apparently allows), I'm going to go through and move them all, but in the meantime, any little sorting-out would be helpful... - SanityOrMadness 13:31, 25 October 2009 (EDT)
- Can do, although I don't know if I will upload any more. I only did that one to help clear out the badimage category. - Magnus Maximus 13:38, 25 October 2009 (EDT)
- That's not the only bad one if you can scan more though - just from a quick sample, "Image:Marvel_uk_009cover.jpg", "Image:MarvelUK-010.jpg" and especially "Image:MarvelUK-22.jpg" are all fairly bad, and several of the Target 2006 covers are GIFs rather than JPEGs. - SanityOrMadness 13:49, 25 October 2009 (EDT)
- Okay, I'll see what I can rustle up. - Magnus Maximus 14:17, 25 October 2009 (EDT)

I'm pretty sure it was me who uploaded a ton of the UK covers. Er, what was wrong with those ones (am looking at the "badimage" term and thinking I messed up?) Drmick 12:56, 27 October 2009 (EDT)
- Which ones? The ones with the replacedimage template? I just uploaded a cleaner version with the file-naming scheme SoM mentioned above. The 3 or 4 with {{badimage}}? I noted the reason in the template (usually just because the scanned copy is a bit battered around the edges). - Magnus Maximus 14:21, 27 October 2009 (EDT)
Maverick G1 complete series set
Judging by the comment on your edit that added this set to the Maverick Entertainment page, I'm guessing you own it? If so, I was wondering if any of the non-Masterforce commercials that are included as extras are U.K. ones? For comparison, the U.S. and U.K. Galvatron/Magnus spots.--Tigerpaw28 18:00, 24 November 2009 (EST)
- I do indeed own it, and I don't think any of the ads are from the UK campaigns. There aren't that many, and most of them are from the '90s. Rather than try to describe them, I've uploaded them all somewhere and elsewhere for your perusal. - Magnus Maximus 04:45, 25 November 2009 (EST)
- Thank you very much sir! Curious that they would include US and Japanese spots but no UK. I've found only 5 G1 UK spots on YouTube in their entirety plus bits of 3 others in documentary shows. I expected to be able to find more than that floating around. Where's all the UK footage at? On a related note, those Japanese spots are from Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers not Masterforce as mentioned in the Maverick article. --Tigerpaw28 01:26, 3 December 2009 (EST)
- You are welcome, sir. And I know none of the ads are from Headmasters, but some of the bumps are. I guess I worded it a little too ambiguously, so I'll make it more specific. - Magnus Maximus 03:49, 3 December 2009 (EST)

French-Canadian BW titles
Man, where did you find those? I checked on my Alliance Atlantis DVD set and it just kept the same title cards as in English, just changed the language track. --Detour 23:06, 14 December 2009 (EST)
- I did a bit of snooping around, and eventually found this handy list. - Magnus Maximus 23:11, 14 December 2009 (EST)
- I do question the validity of some of those, mainly the Beast Wars two-parter, whose titles are apparently just "Pilot". Still, good stuff. I'll take care of the translations. Thanks! --Detour 23:32, 14 December 2009 (EST)
- I was just about to thank you for picking up the translations. Anyway, I think I'm done for the day, but that forum post is part of a bigger site that has sections for what looks like pretty much every TF series, and probably each with their own ep list. Do you think it'll be worth doing the same for the other shows, or are they maybe a bit too questionable? - Magnus Maximus 23:44, 14 December 2009 (EST)
- Seems legit enough, although it's hard to tell what's French and what's French-Canadian. I know for certan the Animated stuff is from France, because the show has not aired here. As far as Beast Wars goes, it may well be from France as well but I know very little about it, and have no French contacts to discuss such things with. --Detour 23:57, 14 December 2009 (EST)
- You may be right, actually. I didn't really read the site before I started (because I can't), but after a bit more snooping, I noticed that where the list just says "Les voix 1", the series overview page says "Les voix d'outre-monde partie 1". It seems I may have been too hasty. Any chance of maybe contacting them and asking exactly where they got the titles from? At the very least, the fact that quite a few of the titles are different from those listed on fr.wikipedia is a good sign. - Magnus Maximus 00:39, 15 December 2009 (EST)

Japanese Beast Wars laserdiscs and others
While trying to see what the Headmasters laserdisc set might be selling for these days, I came across an eBay seller with two different Japanese Beast Wars laserdics for sale: Destrons. Cybertrons. The auction's images aren't great, but I think we may have to go with them for the time being. A brief Google search brings up listings at lasertown.com but no other images.
Also, since you've done so much work on the video and soundtrack releases, I wanted to point out Nicky's Transformers Music & Media Site in case you weren't aware of it. --Tigerpaw28 02:13, 9 March 2010 (EST)
- Thanks for those auction links. A quick search for one of the product codes netted me this page, which looks like it (and the rest of that site) will be quite helpful - apart from all the stuff about Pokemon. And yeah, I stumbled across Nicky's pages when I was searching for Japanese singles a while back. It's a shame they're all such lo-res pictures. Thanks again. - Magnus Maximus 03:16, 9 March 2010 (EST)
CD scan
How good are you with Adobe Photoshop? I have the Sound of Evolution 1 scan, but my scanner tends to bork the colors. --Lonegamer78 19:08, 8 April 2010 (EDT)
- I'm... competent. If you upload it, I'll see what I can do. Someone else can always have a go if they think they can do better. - Magnus Maximus 19:13, 8 April 2010 (EDT)
- It's up. It's the diagonal... pattern-thingy that's driving me nuts. *can't wait for CS5* --Lonegamer78 19:28, 8 April 2010 (EDT)
- Ah, I see what you mean. Unfortunately, the only way I know how to deal with that is to play around with it in super hi-res before resizing. There's not much I can do at this size without the pic losing a lot of detail. If you have the scan saved as a 300dpi png or the like, google search for "removing moire" and have a go at one or two of the tutorials. - Magnus Maximus 19:58, 8 April 2010 (EDT)

Music/Video Release
You're doing great work here, filling out a section of the wiki that a lot of people don't know much about. Keep up the good work!--Jimsorenson 13:17, 9 April 2010 (EDT)
- Well, thank you sir, but I think I've just about run out of things to add. Things that I can find info about, at least. - Magnus Maximus 13:21, 9 April 2010 (EDT)
