Talk:Dreamwave Productions
From Transformers Wiki
Comments? I translated most of the history bit from a rundown I had written for a German message board earlier this year, plus a few source links added. Does anyone consider this too long? Should we concentrate on the relevant Transformers-related phase of the company?--Nevermore 18:12, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- I think it's great. --Steve-o 23:38, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

I'm guessing this is an actual statement by DW's staff? Anyone got a source on it? --Detour 17:54, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- Do you mean... "http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Image:Dreamwave.jpg"? Click on the image. It has sourcing information there stating it is from Pat Lee's homepage on Angelfire.
- PS - Images have their own discussion page; using them in instances like this avoids confusion over what image you're talking about. --Sntint 19:26, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- I mean the caption, not the image itself. "We're not saying you should buy Dreamwave comics, only that you'll regret it." Where'd that come from? --Detour 19:43, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, sorry. I belieeeeeeve that's a quote of Lee himself, possibly from his website, but I can't recall for sure. Eating dinner now, will check when I finish. --Sntint 20:44, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I don't see it on his website. The only pages other than the main page seem to be a sequence of pages each for his family and for his biography, neither of which contains the quote. In hindsight, it sounds much more like it's from an interview anyway.
- Punching the full quote into Google brings up nothing on Usenet and only this Wiki article on the web. --Sntint 21:12, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- I had previously changed the caption to reference an early nickname for Dreamwave instead (including a source link for said nickname), but someone else decided to change the caption back.--Nevermore 21:28, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

Old interview
This is awesome. "Doc: I see this company to be considered one of the premier publishers in the comic industry known for quality and speed. I also see this company expanding into any and every imaginable form of entertainment and media. If Dreamwave went bankrupt, I'd first try to come up with solutions to get back up. If that didn't work, I'd probably be forced to join the rest of this restricted society and give up the freedom I feel working for Dreamwave."--Nevermore 10:45, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
"Unpublished Dreamwave G1 continuity timeline" - remove this link?
The external link "Unpublished Dreamwave G1 continuity timeline" points to a message board post by Matt Moylan, but it looks like the salient content is no longer there. Does anyone know an alternate location for this content? Else I'll just delete the link (and perhaps try to contact Moylan directly to see if that content can be recovered/mirrored). --GrantB 15:49, 26 April 2009 (EDT)
Roger Lee's Youtube page
I feel like this is something that should be archived somewhere. It's pretty hilarious- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19A-NkfOH3g --Nu-Priest (talk) 22:18, 1 May 2019 (EDT)
