2005 IDW continuity
My First Blaster was built by Brainstorm for Swerve to suit the Autobot's smaller stature and inability to properly wield larger weapons, like the Shoomer. When confronted by a Legislator in his bar, Swerve used the weapon to disable his attacker, prompting congratulations from My First Blaster. When attempting to save Skids from a mysterious attacker, My First Blaster missed its shots, but encouraged Swerve to keep practicing. House of Ambus
Swerve also used the weapon when the Lost Light came under attack by the fiendish Ammonites on an ocean planet. This time, the weapon did not comment on Swerve's skill (or any absence thereof). No ExitThe Dead Are Not Enough

Legends
- Legends Phaser is a redeco of Generations Flanker, transforming into a drone jet resembling the Barracuda and Sky-X designs with a new wing configuration[1] in the colors of a Space Shuttle. He also has a third blaster-cannon mode that can be used by any toy that uses the 5mm post/hole system. In an awesome homage to the IDW comics, Phaser's blaster mode is colored to resemble a My First Blaster.
- He was only available in a four-pack with Swerve, his partner, and Tailgate and Groundshaker.
- This mold was also used to make Generations Eclipse, the smaller part of BotCon 2015 Oilmaster, and TFSS 5.0 Quickslinger and Hi-Q.
Notes
- My First Blaster is outfitted with an orange cap on the barrel, for safety reasons.
