Years after the battle in Chicago, Cemetery Wind and Lockdown managed to locate Optimus Prime in the city. Although Prime was seriously injured by Lockdown, Cemetery Wind's operatives were unable to contain him and he managed to escape. Age of Extinction

After the Ore-13 crisis had passed, Optimus Prime sent Aileron and the Colonist Soldiers on a mission to Mexico City retrieve a cache of black-market weaponry from the defunct Earth Defense Command. They discovered that an anti-Transformer protest had degenerated into a riot; when Midnight Express was wounded by a protester wielding one of these Transformer-derived guns, Optimus deployed reinforcements from Metrotitan above.
