Meteorfire (Cyberverse)

This article is about the Cyberverse Autobot. For the Generation 1 Transformer, see Meteorfire (G1). |
- Meteorfire is an Autobot from the Cyberverse continuity family.
Meteorfire used to be a big name to the Autobots. Once the host of the extremely popular Alien Hunt! alongside his best Sheila Cosmos, he would breathlessly teach his audiences all 'bout beautiful and dangerous alien wildlife, and got into all sorts of scrapes. Of course, that was before Cosmos went and got abducted by aliens. Meteorfire hasn't seen her since.
You'd think, maybe, the loss of the two things that mattered most to him might've made Meteorfire a little bitter or something, but nah. He's still got that same foolhardy zest for hunting (and the shine of the cameras) that made him a media darling to begin with. While he has been in a funk since Cosmos went missing, it wouldn't take that much to get this guy back into the alien-hunting game.

Strewth Ruth! Pop open a can an' take a seat on me eskie. Back in the glory days, Meteorfire was the co-host of Alien Hunt!, travellin' the galaxy with his best mate Cosmos and cataloguing all manner of totally wild alien lifeforms that inhabited the ol' universe, becoming a big splash on Cybertron before Cosmos went walkabout. Unable to find his mate, Meteorfire canceled Alien Hunt! and withdrew to his camper, chuggin' down energon and watching old clips of the duo's adventures. Crikey, bit sad ain'it?
After the Quintesson invasion, Bumblebee dropped in on Meteorfire for a sausage sizzle, who badgered his help in journeyin' to Luna 3, the forbidden moon, to recover a psychic shard of the cityspeaker Windblade. Seeing the opportunity to make a new episode of Alien Hunt, Meteorfire eagerly joined in. After breaching the moon's force field, Meteorfire felt compelled to investigate the abandoned communications hub which resulted in the two being harassed by the ghost of Shockwave, Meteorfire suspecting alien involvement.
As the two neared Windblade's shard, Meteorfire found his motor functions overridden. Still able to speak, Meteorfire directed Bumblebee on how to dodge his blows before the scout gave the host a good jolt to free him. Pressing forward, the two discovered that the culprit for the strange going-ons was an obicular-class parasitic entity. Though Meteorfire tried to put on a brave face, the entity began consuming him, only to be quickly shattered by Bumblebee's multiverse energy. After Windblade's shard was collected, Meteorfire was overjoyed to find Cosmos pulling herself up from under the entity's remains, explaining that she'd crashed herself and the alien on Luna 3 to prevent it from feasting on Cybertron's fears. Overjoyed to have his partner back, Meteorfire proceeded to revive Alien Hunt! Alien Hunt! With Meteorfire And Cosmos
Sometime later, Meteorfire and Cosmos celebrated the signing of the Treaty of the Wall. Meteorfire was frozen in time with the rest of Cybertron by Trypticon's Mercenaries. When Volcanicus and Trypticon fought, a missile from Trypticon sent Meteorfire and Cosmos flying into Volcanicus’ arms, who threw them, and they landed, still immobile, with Cosmos holding Meteorfire. He was later restored with the rest of Cybertron, and was somewhat taken aback when the Dinobots formed Volcanicus, but continued to celebrate undeterred. The Immobilizers
When Cybertron was overrun by Tarn and his army of Decepticon supersoldiers, Meteorfire and Cosmos joined Hot Rod and the other Autobot forces underground to form a plan to retake the planet. Meteorfire joined the battle against Tarn’s Forces, and he and Cosmos worked together to take out a supersoldier. Meteorfire looked on in shock following Soundwave’s sacrifice, and later attended Soundwave’s memorial. The Perfect Decepticon

Notes
- Meteorfire is a loving parody of the late, great Steve Irwin.
