Hasbro Q&A/October 2009: Answers
From Transformers Wiki
1. Are any of the Thirteen original Transformers (like The Fallen and Vector Prime) female?
- The short answer to your question is yes and we look forward to telling how a female warrior plays a central role in that story in the early days of the original 13.
2. In Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, there is a red bulldozer Constructicon that Starscream refers to as "Rampage". However, in the credits, this red bulldozer is identified as "Skipjack," while the toyline has consistently featured a yellow bulldozer named Rampage. Are there actually two Rampages, or was Starscream's line in error?
- First, we do want to confirm that Rampage is in fact the red bulldozer. Since Rampage was one of the early figures that we released for the Revenge of the Fallen line, it was based on the initial concept art from the studio. However upon final release of the film, Rampage was changed to a red color. While we have only released a yellow Rampage to date, we have full intentions of releasing Rampage in his movie deco in the near future.
3. Is the Universe/Revenge of the Fallen character "Airazor" (part of the Superion combiner set, which was released under different banners in different countries) a female character like Beast Wars Airazor, or a male character like Slingshot, who Airazor seems to have replaced on the Aerialbot team?
- You bring up a very good question and one that we often face where this type of issue comes down to a name clearance issue. In this circumstance Slingshot was no longer available to use. Airazor is a 'male' character that was designed in memorium [sic] of Slingshot.
