As a show of good faith, the Autobots exchanged technology with the inhabitants of Earth. The Cybertronian technology formed the inspiration for the battle mechs that were produced for use by G.I. Joe. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers #6 A percentage of the G.I. Joe soldiers were given their personal battle mechs, which they could deploy in missions as they saw fit. Two years after their production, one mission to track a transaction of illegal products based on Cybertronian technology had two battle mechs utilized to take out the final resistance. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers II #1 After the time-travelling incident that jeopardized both Earth and Cybertron, Optimus Prime deemed it better for Earth to remain untainted by the Cybertronian war and so wished to see any remaining technology of theirs destroyed.
