The Editor is usually referred to as Chief by their employees.

TransTech

The Editor would often need to correct a few points here and there on the reports of their two journalists, or otherwise inform ANN's audience on some important happenings. In their messages, they:

  • informed ANN's viewers about the new version of the ReportNow program, available for download!
  • corrected Rook's report on Sym-Phur's oil find, stating that it was Dinotron, and not Rapticon that had spoke as their representative.
  • introduced Rook's special ANN Tonight report on Axiom Nexus's history.
  • clarified that Cloud World was not a TransTech-run facility.
  • also clarified that the TransTechs had no involvement in a fight between the Skriix and the Recyclon in another universe.
  • introduced ANN's latest feature, Ask Vector Prime.
  • expanded upon the obscure nature of Stakeout's home universe.
  • reminded ANN's viewers that Rook's views did not reflect those of the channel.
  • and amended Andromeda's report on the Convoy, clarifying that the group had thirteen members.

When ANN was saddled with a gaggle of Mini-Con interns, the Editor took two of them under their tutelage, one for each of her/his personalities. Aston and Miss-Q, predictably enough, turned out to be more of an impediment than anything else. The Editor showed a surprising amount of restraint, considering the two Mini-Cons wound up crashing the broadcast. Afterwards, the Editor once more continued to inform the public on information relevant to ANN's broadcasts. In their messages, they informed the viewers that Rook had been reprimanding for badgering a harmless senior citizen, and later corrected Vector Prime's claim that Axiom Nexus was ill-suited for organics. Despite Vector Prime's "senior moment," the Editor enjoyed the high ratings the old 'bot brought to the network. Axiom Nexus News Editor He also had to chip in during one of Rook's reports on the top ten most wanted criminals on Cybertron, informing the reporter that Battletrap was both a Triple Changer and a Duocon. Rook - Axiom Nexus News: Investigative Journalist

It greatly pained the Editor when Vector Prime suddenly left Axiom Nexus, mostly because Vector Prime's column generated a lot of viewership for his network. For the following months, the Editor had to constantly task Rook, and occasionally Andromeda, with finding a replacement columnist, as their fill-ins proved themselves to be mostly a string of disappointments. Notes

  • The Editor almost swore on-air once, but managed to catch themselves. Midway through "Slag!" they ended the word with "-mmoth", a reference to "Slammoth", one of the preliminary names proposed in the fan poll for Victorion.
