Daisuke Gōri

Daisuke Gōri (郷里大輔 Gōri Daisuke, real name: 長堀芳夫 Nagahori Yoshio February 8, 1952-January 17, 2010) was a Japanese voice actor who was employed by the talent agency Aoni Production. He usually played big dumb lugs, like his role as Horn Geist from Brave Exkaiser, Mr. Satan (aka Hercule), Turtle and the Ox-King in Dragon Ball Z or Descartes in Trigun. Some other roles include Heihachi Mishima from the Tekken series, Robin Mask from Kinnikuman, Dominic LeCoulte from Fullmetal Alchemist, Uighur from Fist of the North Star, Dozle Zabi from Mobile Suit Gundam, Gemma Himuro from Ninja Scroll and General Pepper from the Star Fox series.
In the world of dubbing, he had voiced Sloth from The Goonies, Lord Zedd from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, Cobra Bubbles from Lilo & Stitch, Vigo the Carpathian from Ghostbusters II, Roadblock & Destro from G.I. Joe: The Movie, Leatherhead from the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon, the title character of The Iron Giant, Lucas Bishop from the TV Tokyo dub of Saban's X-Men, Bulgy and the devious Diesel from Thomas and Friends, Makuta from the Bionicle series, Yosemite Sam from Looney Tunes, and a number of Brad Garrett's characters.
Gōri died after committing suicide at the age of 57.[1]
